The 2008 Georgia Amateur Golf Association Championship series is a 16-tour event held at some of Atlanta’s greatest courses. Each event is gross stroke and flighted based on the player’s handicap. Championship Flight: 0-5 A Flight: 6-10 B Flight: 11-15 C Flight: 16-20 D Flight: 21-up At the end of the regular season a point series champion will be awarded in each flight. The players who finish in the top ten in each flight are eligible for the G.A.G.A. Players Championship at BridgeMill Athletic Club on September 20. Membership fee for the year is $50 and most tournament entry fees are $65. We have trophies for all the flight winners and Trophies for closest to the pin. We also provide a skins game and opptional prize pool. The Georgia Amateur Golf Association is a member of the ‘egolf Tour ‘, which is one of the nations largest golf leagues. G.A.G.A. tour members will be part of the 2,700 golfers who play in amateur events throughout 15 states 37 cities listed on the egolf website. This creates the opportunity for our players to compete in the National Championship on October 25 & 26, in Hilton Head. In addition to playing on the G.A.G.A. tour you are able to play on any egolf tour listed on the website at no additional membership fee. G.A.G.A. members can also use the egolf website to look at the schedule, standings and register for up coming events. Further members can monitor their standings against any of the 2,700 tour players in route to the National Championship. |
